New sample sent to supplier getting forwarded to me to test on Monday/Tuesday apparently.
Anyone had a sample yet?
Any tips/hints?
Any twin tuner apps to look for?
I'll be trolling the Vu forums for help so Veterans be warned! lol

Ok. So its here :)

Its the GEMMA-STAR 2S twin sat tuner. Unclear on price yet but I hink around 75.
Comes running OpenAtv.
Seems similar layout to ibox menus etc.
Easy enough to get arround.
Looks good and feels quality. White box with black screen.
REMOTE IS F'ING EXCELLENT. Great wide angle on ir transmitter. No longer needs to be pointed near box never mind directly at it!

Also no twin sat images on cloud-iboxdotnet so wondering do I just use ibox 3 vix?

Gf gonna be mad at me taking days to play with this lol

Yeh it gets so confusing with this lot. I didnt think the 4 had actually been released. Just clones using name. Not same production. But again who knows. lol
will update when received :)
 
Yes but there is always a lot of disparity between the site and the box. And in past weeks site had changed a lot. Along with box small details. Am thinking new management/something.

ive heard the cloud ibox 4 is a clone but is worth the price you pay for it you can record 3 programs while watching a fourth and you can mount a hdd 80gb / 320gb or 500gb inside the box so that's a bonus and it runs all the same plugins as you can on the cloud ibox 2+
 
It'll be cool but been waiting since sept last year for it. I think attention may have turned a bit. But never know.
P.s. All ibox range are clones.

Ok so loaded bluehd skin and mgcamd. All seems good. But when I added usb, starting to stick on last channel before reboot. So bugs.
Works sometimes so managed initialisation/mount/change directories etc.

Ps it boots like skybox with 1-100 sequence.

Wont seem to display anything after load and remote wont do anything while usb in so its a freeze..
works fine without but don't want to epg update. .....

Is this a box or atv thing?
ive read openatv has scripts run for stuff?

theres to different boards the genuine will say air ddt 1300 on it the clone doesn't but that box sounds cool I have my boxes from the main supplier who make the boxes and I didn't get 1 :boo:
 
Also I cant seem to work out local extension install for tspanel and pedros backupsuite.........
says theres nothing there. Is it a diff folder for openatv?
 
Its cool. Got pointed to site for official vix.

This isnt a clone by the way. Apparently they own the drivers and cfe.
 
Sucmnsee will you be putting up a tutorial on how to set up. Do you recommend getting one and if so where from.
 
Tutorial is almost identical to ibox. Other than that I'll be posting an image once fine tuned and backed up.
its a little early and I dont have a firm price yet but to me it seems great. Like a better looking/feeling twin sat ibox.
im just finishing vix 090 on it now

And I must stress again how much better the remote is in every way. Gone from the worst thing about these to the best.

Although in saying that I still havnt tried the second tuner and lines needed etc

Im having similar probs with zgemma.
Boots fine up until just when its supposed to play channel and show the channel info bar but then freezes. Just blank info bar and vix cave background.
boots fine with no usb. So I think its having bother reading the epgfile. But could be wrong.
