New Sly installation, old dish new double lnb instead of quad

Could the lnb now fitted be a sky q one now fitted on old dish as thinking 107 sounded familiar from previous threads?

I do notice levels are down as mine were in the 90 region.

One sure way to find out if the l.n.b ports are marked v and h then it is a wideband l.n.b
As sky q requires a seperate feed for vertical
Side off the Transponder and horizontal side
Off the Transponder Not like the normal l.n.b
Which can switch between them

Yes i was thinking maybe sky q lnb too. I am getting signal ok, over each frequency there are only so many channels, when i do a scan i only get 108 now. Im baffled guys. I suppose i can always get another lnb
##edit ## getting ladder out to go up and check for a v and h

Yes it has a H and V both sides of connector, so is this the wrong lnb i have then? Good news is if its wrong lnb theres an old one dangling from neighbiurs old dish just above mine

That's correct has cable feed for h and cable
Feed for v being a wideband l.n.b it also can.pick up part of the u.h.f spectrum

So will this "skyq" be no good for regular use on freesat and probably line too? Hypothetically speaking of course. I will swap the lnb with the neighbours unused one (y)

Sky q lnb only work on their boxes not any other,if you went back to the quad you would then be 2 rooms ready?

I dont think i would be using the one hanging down as water can run into it because its upside down.

Hello guys, I got it up and running with an old single feed lnb, this was one that wasn't being used before, only thing is the housing bracket on dish does fit round the lnb so I'll have to improvise thanks for all the help and advice especially @caktikid @linesman66 for patience

Respect

Just sums up techkings, so many members going all out to help others, great to see.

Yes true there are a lot of genuine people out there willing to help others, suppose that's what it's all about.
Really appreciated the Mrs and kid happy to have something to watch just now too while I squabble with iptv provider over being locked in to crappy app
