Use this image. Its ok i just forgot to put in the alien head .
Use iptvplayer-yiffy for movies.
Ondemand can be downloaded in plugins on the box
 
Has anybody had success using openvpn with this build? I've tried various guides and had to flash my box after boot failure a few times. I have an account with hidemyass and VPNUnlimited if anyone uses those :)
 
Hi . I downloaded the file on page one . It's a backup file ? I can't work out how to get it into the box can you help ?
 
If using a USB just unzip the file using Winzip / Winrar then extract the zgemma folder to your USB place in back of box and switch box on. Should say flash wait till box boots up

Anyone any idea how my crossepg not working and when i try to download showing tuner fail first time this happened and when i view channel epg comes back on for that one ?
 
Ur cables are in wrong or u have to disable b if only using 1

Heard there was a prob With openvpn and vix 4

Ah ok, thanks for confirming. I might just get a DD-WRT router and use that instead then. 👍
 
Possible to download movies /TV series to HDD or bad mount from streams. Ie media portal. Is there a context menu I can't find lol.

PS thanks for super image. Working great so far

Or roll back to previous 3.2...... image. Very little difference. As usual lol

Sorry never tried in mediaportal. Can in iptvplayer.

I installed my VPN last night.
Downloaded open VPN ip settings from my provider
Chose a country. Renamed it to conf.cfg. FTP'd it and the other 2 files (.crl and .ca I think - whatever 2 without .ovpn extension ) into etc/ovpn folder
Seems to be running
Only rebooted once now to be fair
But seemed to be working fine
Maybe I'm gonna run into difficulties myself soon - hopw not - dont wanna be reflashing etc


Can anyone else chime in on their or others experience using openvpn for their paid VPN service - would like to hear

COuple of questions if anyone can help

1 - Ive done a back up of settings and a separate back up of image - Does settings back up save line details / configuration too? If i do need to re flash - Can I re-flash with my own backup image?

2. - Currently trawling through media portal offerings - does anyone have a list of just english based ones on there (so I can remove others) - how can I set default language and audio to English?

3- Is there a list of extensions that include descriptions of functionality / what they do - rather than googling each one?

Yes you can restore your settings and image back if needed to reflash. Its best to copy the CCCAM contents off the box just in case anything happens, at least you will have a copy and easily upload it.

Use IPTV

If you don't know what they do from the name i wouldn't recommend installing them ha
 
I tried installing the downloaded image but have not been able to get it to boot on my ZGemma H2S.

For Info: Downloaded from here, put onto fresh formatted USB (known to work) tried flashing but box got stuck on the Openvix Please Wait screen. Left it running overnight and it still didn't complete.

FTP'd the file onto the box and tried flashing that way. Aging it got stuck on the Openvix Please Wait screen.

Put the old image 3.0.004 (or something like that) on the USB, flashed it and it worked within minutes. Then reinstalled everything else as required and box is working as expected with the old image.

Any advice appreciated.
 
Your box did flash the please wait screen came up if you look at clock on the front when it says the time just press 101 on remote. This is because it is set to a paid channel box should take just a few minutes to flash

Thanks for the replies. I flashed it again and this time changed channel to free to air and it worked. It's been a while since I worked with satellites so it'll take a bit of getting used to all this again.

Now to try and get my head round all these menu options to set up the look of the epg.

Ok, with my vpn settings installed box has refused to boot - stuck each time at 40

Where can I download previous image?
IS there much if any major differences?
Can I reinstall backed up settings from this current image?
