New to Firesticks. Advice... Lines/Builds

I'm looking for a bit of advice on a Firestick

I know, I know getting an android or Enigma 2 box would be better. But this is for my non techie parents. Also the more portable the better

I've got Zgemma and Roku with plex so not new to lines, skins etc.

Are the builds/addons (what ever you call them) temperamental? Are there any paid "lines" that would be worth getting?

Looking for mainly UK sports and movie channels as well as VOD

You might be better off getting a Plex sub. Less hassle, no updating builds, no searching for streams.
