Hi guys just received my skybox f5 and in need of serious help setting it up once explained i can do it fairly easily just need to know wether it can be used via a uk virgin cable system or will i have to use my sky dish and also how to get the codes as my friend has a f3 model and is willing to let me use his code on mines so where would i find the code on his box thanks in advance ;)

if you use his code at a different ip address chances are the line will be banned for resharing which is not allowed on paid clines then none of you will have a line :no no:. clines, codes as you call them are not free you pay a sub to use them. they work off a sat dish not cable and have to be connected to a router to connect with the cline server. any internet will do.

thanks mate having trouble getting a signal with my dish tho not getting any channels whatsoever iam not usual this clueless but this box has me beat.

if you are not even getting the free channels then its dish coax/plugs issue. have you put a channel list on the satbox? maybe a good place to start is here http://www.techkings.org/skybox-f3/41018-skybox-f3-set-up-guide-tutorial.html
