Hi guys, I'm a relative newb to the iptv game and would appreciate some advice.
My subscription to an iptv service has just finished and i'm now looking at the options available. The service I subscribed to was run through a closed facebook group and I watched it via a firestick. The service was ok on the whole but I really missed the facility to record stuff.
I was running the iptv alongside a legit sky subscription so I was mainly using iptv to watch the champions league footy matches on bt sports - the stream quality was a bit hit and miss - sometimes it was perfectly watchable, other times it wasn't very smooth and stuttered.
As my sky sub is coming to an end in the next few months, I was hoping not to renew it as it's getting so expensive. My basic questions are:
1) Is it possible to have a box that I can watch all the FTA channels via satellite (using the existing coax feeds) and also access iptv (for the sports etc?). My thinking is that this will give me better quality for the majority of my viewing on FTA - using iptv to watch all channels and content will be a bit clunky and worse quality? (pls correct me if I'm wrong lol)
2) What is the best way to go about this? Is there one box that can do this? I would like to mimic the sky plus functionality as far as possible so it is important that I can record/pause both the FTA channels and also the iptv content - is this possible?
3) In terms of iptv providers, I understand I need to put a post in the other thread and people will get in touch. What questions should I be asking them in terms of what I need?
Many thanks for reading and all the advice.
