New tv smart card by VM. will the boxes stop working?

There is a new ch. called (ch_699), saying that a new smart card is coming in the post and you need to change it with the old one.

what will this do?
will it change something and will all the boxes stop working?

Anything can happen, VM are aware of these boxes and are already working on a plan, whether its changing the encryption to IPTV or issuing new smart cards to access the channels, either way, we should be expecting the boxes to go down some time soon, we all live in hope, and TechKings is the place to be if you want to be kept updated about the situation.
