Cable New zGemma H1 possibly pre flashed - How to tell?

Hi,
I have just purchased a zGemma Star H1 and it appears it may have already been flashed with something.
Trouble is I can't tell how much has been done & what if any is left to do.

so far upon booting up the box the following happens:

-Boot- displayed on the front of the box
Openvix splash page on the T.V. screen
-11- displayed on the box, then the numbers start counting up
sly logo splash screen on the T.V.
spinning vix top left corner of the T.V. screen (over the previous logo)
"error tune failed" showed on screen
-00- displayed on the front of the box

I know there are several stages to getting it up & running, how can I tell what is installed?
I would rather have done this all myself as I believe this is the best way to learn & I would have a much better idea if anything should go wrong.

Planning on using this on cable, but i presume the sly logo is just for show.

Any help about finding what software is on would be greatly appreciated.

thanks

looks like its been setup that wasy for you m8.
Most sellers pre-flash it.
error tune failed is because you'll need to put in your own netid for the area you are in.

just press menu and then start the setup sequence yourself. Vix is probably the best image for this box, however, do not update it ota, update it via zgemma site :)

Thanks for the reply.
Updating it through the OTA is exactly what has just happened & now it's refusing to load any channels. :(
Is there a way to undo that & start again? Maybe reflash an older version?

Thanks for the reply. Managed to finally sort it with a image file from the Zgemma website & then followed the VM guide listed on here to get it back up & running.
It's currently scanning g in channels.
I'm glad it happened in a way because now I've had to do the whole box by myself from scratch. So I've learned how to do that.

Reading this thread with great interest! Is there a tutorial somewhere for how to flash the ZGemma H1 (with OpenVIX ideally)?
Thanks!
