Hi,

Never messed about with these before so I am looking for advice,

Both my daughters have Xboxes, one box has decided not to work today.
There looks like there is no power at the box.

The power supply hasn't fused and I have swapped them over to test if that was the problem.

The power supply's have a yellow/orange light on when plugged into the working box.

Both show a red light when plugged in to the faulty box.

The there is no lights at the box, the start button doesn't have a light on.

Has anyone got any ideas, is this a common fault or do I have to take it somewhere to get it fixed ?

Thanks for any help

ok,

try this BEEs plug the known good power supply into the faulty box. try and turn the box on via the on switch on the actual console. then let me know your results. sorry also try this.

1. disconnect the power cord from the sqaure brick
2. disconnect the other end from the console
3. put the plug into the socket
4. put the other end back in the xbox360
5. then put the other end back into the brick.

it must be done in the above order.

Used a flat head screwdriver and pushed the plastic bit in one of the usb slots
(this was at the back rather than the front one in the video) off the casing
and just sparked back to life :yes!:

well done Bees
you are a brave fellow i would never of done that, there is a special tool on ebay which costs £1.50 which will align them perfectly.
