Online banking transactions and new security software
It has been reported that a UK security company is handing out free software to banks, which will aid them in their attempt to stop the ongoing trend of internet fraud, during online banking transactions.
As reported from PCWorld,
Software Shields Online Banking on Infected PCs - Business Center - PC World
the software, which is called ‘SafeOnline’ and comes from Prevx, will also provide security against malicious software and still operate on systems that have already been affected.
The software will work by installing its own kernel-level driver on your system. Then when you next go online, all information from the keyboard is routed through that driver, which is where the software will protect you against attempts to record keystrokes or other potential attacks.
