Open VPN for IPTV, remote access box

For the past year or so I have had my 2 zgemma setup so that I can hit my ipaddress:port eg http://123.456.789.012:9123 and it would remotely connect to my zgemma openwebif screens. I would login using username and password and I could access my box to add recordings whilst out and about.

Since adding VPN to get around IPTV blocks on the devices I can no longer connect. If I stop VPN I can. Is there anything I can do to bypass the VPN for that function or is it simply a case of tough luck?

what IP are you using to gain access? your vpn ip address or your normal ISP ip address?

Do you really need VPN for IPTV, shouldn't be required
