Openbox no signal

Hi all.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place. I have my satellite dish on the front of my house with a cable going into the living room at the front and two cables going over the roof to the rear of the house into the bedroom and dining room. My openbox works fine in the living room, but in both other rooms the box shows as no signal being received. I have moved the cables on the LNB but these rooms are still not working. Satelite installer told me I need a new LNB which he is going to charge £40 for however I would rather do this myself. The dish is less than two years old. Does anyone have any suggestions? Does the LNB need replaced?

just buy the lnb and fit it yourself

you say you have moved cables for the rooms that do not work, did you screw the cables in tight into the lnb, if there slightly loose that can affect the connection feed, if you need to replace the lnb just get yourself one ,there about £12 to £20 depending on how many connections and just swap the bad one for the good one, 2 minute job

Also note that the length of the cable can and will affect your signal.
