Openbox/s*y Coax swap

Hi I've got a Openbox on order and was going to order some coax cable and octo lnb as my lnb is full.
Once I've set my openbox up could I just keep swapping my coax from my s*y box to my openbox as of when I want it? Or would it cause problems like resetting or need retuning ?
Does anyone else do this or just best to run some more Coax ?

Should be no problem When you change your l n b make sure you set it at the same skew angle there is a setting on the side off the adapter which holds the l n b on the dish the arrow points between 2 and 3 or 3 and 4 depending on your location

NO its fine I used to do that years ago when I had my first box never had a problem unplugged from mains when not in use aswell

Is there something like a switch that exists possibly controllable by a remote to switch feeds between the boxes?

Cheers guys , I've took the plunge and just ordered new lnb and coax , so you will probably see a thread soon 'How do I put my dish back up '
Might just set it up and jump between boxes until I'm sure what I'm doing swapping lnb over

Yea heard splitters aren't to good

Don't split satellite signal.
Run a feed from the dish or as the op said just swap them from box to box.
Although excessive switching of openbox/Skybox on and off you run the risk of bricking it.

Totally agree excessive switching can also cause no signal on certain channels as the l ň b can't switch between the v and h side off the satellite

I had similar problem with my zgemma h2s.Constantly swappin soackets between devices. I was lucky my sky dish was recently updated and had a quad lnb already in. I decided to bye a satellite cable kit which had 25m twin cable and 4 f sockets included. I then carefully connected the new cable to the spare sockets without changing dish setting. Now have two twin feeds to my sky box and zgemma.
