OpenBox V8S Bit Odd?

Hey Guys :)

So I can see this kind of question has been asked before, but mine seems to be a bit of a different issue (I think)

I can get all the Movie channels
I can get all the HD Terrestrial channels
I can get BT Sports HD
I can get DAVE
I cant get Channel 5 though? (UK)

Now here is my issue

Discovery/History/Nat Geo and some others come up as "No Signal"

The odd thing is they do work sometimes, but at certain times of the day I get nothing?

They also sometimes work for about a Minute, then from nowhere I will get the "No Signal" message again?

Normally over night, I can switch it on and Discovery etc work at 80% for a Min, then nothing again?

I have updated channels and firmware via network, and even re-scanned channel, but it doesn't fix it

Any words of wisdom guys?

Cheers :)

Very strange you post this as I know of someone else who had the exact same issue, updated firmware, updated with Cwaites and still the same. In the end opted to buy a new box as there only £32, used the same setup, line and channel list and all is good.
Again your not the first to have this issue re: the same channels. I would try it at a friends house, if still the same and the box is under warranty send it back.

I have wondered about the dish myself

It seems we use a "Communal" dish as I live in a new estate of house, I wonder if that dish gets overloaded at certain times of the day? but none of my neighbours seem to be having issue's (they have proper SKY subs BTW lol)

UPDATE

Just pulled the cable from the back of the box, put it back in again, now their all back and working?

Love OpenBox haha

Thanks for the responses guys

Thinking it's most likely a slightly dodgy box?

At least its a fix lol
Was just about to say my uncle had the same issue from a communal dish, most folk using communal have a twin socket in their homes Sat A & Sat B for sky plus boxes
He just swapped from A to B and all channels worked

Interesting, as there are Two sockets here also

Downstairs using a Freesat box with no issue, then a line up from the other socket to the top bedroom

But pulling the cable and putting it back seems to have done the trick for now, will look into changing the cables round downstairs if it comes back again ;)
