hi all hope you can help me i update firmware for online update channel list yesterday but all movies and sport are saying scrambled the sever is ok because i have another box up stairs. done a blind scan and got some sports back in all channels. i done a chennels list up date by usb but still can't get the channels back.
 
If all of your subscription channels are scrambled then check that weather app is working so as to eliminate internet connection problem.
If you have updated firmware then try the channel update using the firmware now available on the box if you haven't done so yet ?
Also try the CWAITES channel list via USB as that is the most reliable in my experience.
 
Do a factory reset---[ensure you do not delete anything listed]---go to channel edit and delete all.
Goto network settings---network upgrade--connect to server and install the firmware for the v8s [second line]----after box reboots go back to upgrade and scroll down to channel upgrade then highlight either uk or ireland list and install---reboot then go to fav [press fav on remote] and check channels.

hi the box was grand till i update firmware to the update by network firmware from skybox.cc and then i updated channel list by network and only getting half the $ channels. then i update channel list using cwaite list by usb still only get half the $ channels . the sub is work ok as i have another box that i didn't update working perfectly
 
You are using an incorrect or corrupt firmware update and need to re-install.

Visit site and download latest file for the v8s [No81 on downloads list] www.yojiatech.com
Now format a usb key to fat32 ---go to tools on box menu and upgrade via usb[ leave top line as image file].
Once you have installed and rebooted[removing usb key] then go to the network upgrade---connect to server and install channel list.
Tips---Always format key before each use.
--------ensure box reboots after each installation
--------no need to switch box off just leave in standby if not in use.
---------Raise box off surface [I use 4 corks--1 at each corner] to prevent overheating.

thanks for your help reaper i done all of the above but still missing all movie channels i got sport 1,2,news and a few other back but still missing 3,4. is there anything else I can do
 
Go to sat list--highlight No15 [ensure ticked] press 4 on remote and scan the sat [28.2e]---when scan complete, locate your missing channels and move to favourites.

still no joy on the movie channels even when i do a blind scan. don't now what's wrong. i have done updates on lots of these boxes before a friend drop another box over to me yesterday with the same problem
 
That may be the problem---some so called multiroom/box lines do not work as they are supposed to.
Try a test line just to eliminate the possibility.

tried new 2 different lines still no joy . im after doing around 10 rescans with no movies and only few sports still. tried ajs list and cwaites list no joy. tried to install the old's firmware for openbox still no joy . this is happening on 3 different openbox v8s. im lost by now lol
 
You should now revert back to checking dish alignment and lnb---both can be affected by weather----the same fault would not show up on multiple boxes if just firmware or channel list. I have had the same problem with a customers box--we drove 32miles, moved the dish inclination by 1/2 inch and voila, all channels scanned in. On another dish, I twisted the lnb by a few degrees and up popped all.

yea but im getting 75snr on the channels and when i do a blind scan im getting all the channels in but all movies and half sport are showing scrambled. here is what i done last night i done a tp scan on a few channels and i got all sports but it was named sly sports 1 (bslybireland) etc.
