Peugeot 308 Electric Window

Rear, drive side electric window has started playing up on my 308, 2014 reg.

One touch open works but when you try and close the window it's like it's closing in stages, closes a bit....stops, press switch again, closes a bit, stops etc.

If you open the window, but stop it part way you can close it fully with one touch, it's only if the window fully opens that I have problems getting it to close.

I did the window reset thing, open, hold switch, count to 10.......close, hold switch, count to 10......this seems to fix it, but only for a day or so and then it starts again.

Ideas?

True, I was hoping that someone else would have come across the same problem and it was dead simple. Could do without a garage bill.

sounds like the switch to me.when you try to raise the window,is there any difference using the master switch on drivers door or the switch on the door in question?

No difference, the window plays up no matter which switch I use.

you can initializing the electric windows on most cars .Fully open the window and continue to hold the switch for a further 5 seconds, then close the window and continue to hold the switch for a further 5 seconds. You might need to do this a few times before it resets the windows. This should reset the automatic window functions.

That seems to work for about a day, maximum, then it goes funny again. Took it to local garage that I have used for years, he basically said it's a main dealer job. That's going to cost me a fortune.

Sounds like your window regulator has gone, I had this happen on my Alfa it was only 12 months old lucky it was under warranty. Could be expensive mate especially how much they charge per hour at a dealers.
They don't want you to change a bulb in a car these days.

It’s the switch. Common fault on Peugeot. I got a replacement for mine off. Ebay.

Just spoke to another garage, they say it's the regulator. Time to argue with Peugeot, I have only had the car 14 months, I am 2 months out of warranty.....so far I have had a faulty fuel pump, steering fault, suspension fault and an air-con fault. No way am I paying for this latest issue, I was without my car for about 6 weeks while they found and fixed the fuel pump problem.
