Phone pics deteriorated

CHAPS. Factory reset my Honor 90 phone. Pics were amazing on the phone before hand. Before resetting phone, transfered photos to both a USB stick, and Windows 10 Laptop. Pics look OK on laptop but resolution on phone a lot better. Thing is when I transfer them back from either USB stick, or lappy. Pictures are terrible.
Any ideas. Tia

The phone will have a much smaller screen, which is why the photos will look slightly better on them than on the laptop. There's maybe an option in the settings for the camera that can be changed to make higher resolution photos by default. Failing that, I found this with a google -

Yes cheers mate. But I just expected that they were perfect when backed up to both laptop and USB. That they would be the same when restored. Never used the cloud before, but maybe that's the way to go next time 😭
