picture size keeps changing

any ideas what could be causing this , when watching a channel the picture keeps randomly changing format

Hi mate,

Go into Setup>System>A/V settings on the box and make sure "Automatic resolution" is set to Disabled. Second check if your TV resolution is set to 16:9 or Wide, if its set to something like auto or just scan the picture size might change on some channels.
