ok pub talk , told my mate about my set up , zgemma running cable..

yeah but my mate `says they know what your watching and will let you keep watching then hammer you months later with a huge bill and a fine`

just for the record i think he`s talking out his arse !!!

It is a broadcast medium, and as long as there are no requests to PPV servers (which you can't do with these images) then there is nothing they can "see". Much the same as Sat version, it is "in the air" you merely happen to be listening in..

Of course in the CATV variant there isn't anything to stop them disconnecting your coax at the distro, unless of course you had a paid service, (basic TV, cable internet) that required it connected..
 
He's on about the old sky trick you could unplug your box from the phone line then order pay per view and not be charged at that point but soon as you connected it back up they'd whack you with a huge bill this was about 7 years ago

I mind doing that on my last sky sub. About 4 year ago. Never did get charged.
