Premier League matches could be free-to-air once season restarts

Some of them can see but not the big money matches.

Sly and BT won't allow that. As they will lose money on the bigger games.

It'd be interesting to hear Sky, BT and Amazon's thoughts on fta matches given that they've sold subscriptions based on sharing exclusive rights to screen live EPL matches.

Amazon Prime will make its four Premier League games free-to-air when the season restarts.

Fans will not need a Prime membership to watch fixtures on the online streaming service when the top-flight campaign resumes from 17 June.

Every one of the remaining 92 Premier League games will be broadcast live across Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport or Amazon Prime.

In total, 33 of those matches will be free-to-air

The BBC will broadcast Bournemouth v Crystal Palace and Norwich v Everton as the first two of its four free-to-air Premier League games.

It is the first time since the Premier League's inception in 1992 that games will have been shown live by the BBC.

The Premier League will resume on 17 June after a 100-day hiatus because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The fixture list, including kick-off times, for the first 32 matches after the restart has been announced.

All remaining 92 Premier League games will be broadcast live on Sky Sports, BT Sport, BBC Sport or Amazon Prime

Not great games gona be shown on BBC but better than nothing I guess.

Sky showing plenty for free on Sky Pick and Amazon's are free on the firestick.

Sky will broadcast them on the free-to-air ‘Pick’ channel and simulcast on Sky Sports. Pick is 159 on Sky and 11 on Freeview.

The first match set to be shown for free by Sky is Norwich City's clash with Southampton on Friday, June 19.

On the same weekend, they will show the Merseyside derby encounter between Everton and Liverpool on Sunday, June 21.

Amazon Prime

Amazon Prime will make its four Premier League games free to air. And in a boost to fans, they will not need a Prime membership to watch the action.

Alex Green, managing director of Prime Video Sport Europe, said: "Like the rest of the country, we are excited to see the Premier League return to action.

"We will be making all four of Amazon Prime Video's additional fixtures in the 2019-20 season available free of charge; fans will not need a Prime membership to view the games on Prime Video."

Fekk me what do people want on BBC mancs Derby Liverpool title winning match Gary linkers own personal commentary from sofa in their living room FTA on pick isn't bad same with amazon ect

I understand why big games wont be on FTA not moaning just stating that FTA games for most part wont feel as much a big deal as games being shown on paid channels.

Its good that quite a few games will be FTA.

Just glad premier league will be back and best to cherish each game lol.

Im surprised at the amount Sky have put on FTA, especially given that they have a number of paid channels to show it on - Main Event, Football, Premier League...

The Merseyside Derby on a Sunday night in June where Liverpool potentially secure their first league title since... well, for a million years of pretending it was their year to win it - that might feel like a big deal on FTA.

Sky being "nice" who on earth would have thought  :ROFLMAO:

Surely they have some kind of agenda

Lure all the customers in with their FTA offerings ready for next season when viewers might be able to buy a "season ticket" to watch every match their particular team plays, even 3pm ko's.

I knew it they had some ulterior motive :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

But seriously this good will from them is to get new customers.
