My father in law has an Openbox V8S, the same as me.
Yesterday he went to update the XMLTV EPG and done 'something'. I have no idea what he has actually done and neither does he. I had a quick Google yesterday and followed the steps below from what he was telling me was happening to the box (no channels working), but even after doing the steps below all he can view is FTA channels.
Factory reset (nothing selected)
channel edit and delete all.
network upgrade-connect to server and install the firmware for the v8s [second line].
box reboots
Network upgrade and scrolled down to channel upgrade then highlighted either uk list and install
reboot box
satellite list-highlighted No15 [ensure ticked] pressed 4 on remote and scanned the sat.
Even after doing this he still gets scrambled on pay channels. Anyone have any idea how to fix this? Thanks in advance for your help.
