Problems with system Restore points

Hi All
All of a sudden all my movies stored on an external hard drive named dvd ripper, have disappeared. When I hover over the folder it says " Empty Folder" yet I had over 100 movies stored there happily for years, but the storage on the disc is still unchanged.
Also, all my system restore points have vanished. I may have accidentally erased them using CC Cleaner, but cant remember doing that.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Operating system is Windows 7 64 bit.

Yes, it recognises the hard drive

Elements (G) appears to be full and there is plenty space on Disc H you can copy to. If it was me l would find enough disc space elsewhere and copy everything off the Elements disc and format it before using it again.

How does this affect the Empty folder in Elements ( G). Dvd ripper?
What if I plug it into another PC.?

You could try another pc but how do you play the movies on pc stored on external device.

The red line indicates the disc is full, not an empty folder as for trying in another PC ,well suck it and see. Probably better to try and copy some stuff to drive H and see how it goes

plenty of recovery programs about but do not try to recover to the elements hard drive attach another hard drive and recover files to that.
