Pubs.

looking at previous comments, trust me, it won't be "carnage"

as long as everyone sticks to social distancing it is probably a lot safer than going to the supermarket or any other retail establishment.

it's a hell of a lot safer than walking round our local tesco where everyone ignores the 1 way system and even the staff gather in groups of 2 or 3 to stock the shelves or fridges.

engage your brain, follow the house rules and you will be safer than most places (y)

you don't live in birkenhead mate...

police had to close pubs early

I had to drive by late evening yesterday to see what was happening at my local lol.

No surprise MASSIVE queue going at least a mile. Car park was jam packed.

There's always going to be idiots
I'm in pub now and everything is going well.
Sanitizers everywhere, sign in with mobile number, social distancing etc

was super predictable around here haha

people should be wearing gumshields to pubs before masks in sunny birkenhead

That's fine tbh.

Don't get off your head Pablo
Not much chance of that, I walked in at 9:50 and they rung the bell at 10pm.
I got two pints.
I'm in a room about 25ft by 40ft and there's one other person.
In the other room there's about 12 people in a 30 by 15 foot room.
Which is why I'm in here

99% of pubs will have been absolutely fine, it's just the tiny minority that make the headlines.

Ye thats how it should be tbh.

Clearly my local dont give a toss about rules and a few others it seems that went crazy yesterday with being being drunk.

I believe they are subject to random checks, that's what the bar staff have said.
Any breaking of the rules and he can lose his licence.
I think most publicans will enforce the rules, they are skint after 3m of no trade so not keen on the idea of being shut down permanently

EDIT.
I've just asked and it's fines first, then stronger measures if things aren't improved

This is because they opened everywhere up on a Saturday
They should have opened up on a Tuesday or Wednesday so it would have been a trickle instead of a flood

Didnt help that the whole marketing of pubs being open again on Saturday was being pushed out there.

Which was always going to lead to such nutters going crazy.
