Puzzled....Lost Channels.

We had some pretty stormy weather the past few days. when I turned on my box some of the channels were breaking up and some were missing, just showing blank black screen BBC seemed to be stable but ITV was gone....Music channels were all fine MTV etc. No News channels at all, BTSport was fine...but no Sly Sports apart from SlySports 5 which was fine....Some documentary channels were fine some were gone....My question is could this be a dish alignment problem even although I still receive some channels on...like Sly Sports5 and BTSports? Is there any other problem I should be looking out for before I call a sat dish guy out? Thanks.

Do you have any other boxes connected to the dish?

Yes I have an openbox in another room which has similar problems.

Try undoing one or the other and see if that fixes it

Just did it mate, made no difference.

Ah right know a few people who had a similar issue and it worked for them as issue was openbox. Sounds like weather may of knocked your dish slightly off line

Cheers Nickyd, that was my initial thought, phoning the dish guy now.

**UPDATE** Just to confirm for anyone who encounters a similar problem that the Sly dish had been blown off alignment and once realigned by the dish guys the channels were all working again as normal.
