Remote access and remote streams

Is anyone using their box to remotely? Couple of pre-purchase questions

1. Want to know if it's possible to remote access all the functions of the box?
2. I assume the box supports transcoding? If yes how many channels can be transcoded at once?

Thanks

Viewing your box remotely requires you opening up ports on your router which leaves you wide open to attack. One of our former members used to send on screen messages to people who had done it to warn them they were exposed.

Have a look at a sling box hd,it connects to your box, then you can view it over the internet with a pc or with the slingbox app for devices.

If you use a vpn you could restrict the port forwarding to the ip of your vpn, dont ask me how though lol

Google openwebif and then look down page (page 2 probably) for results that use an IP address rather than domain name

Then he took to sending messages that Wheelo from Techkings was taking over their box, and demanding money to fix it.
