Mag-322 Remote giving wrong command

Any one had this issue where buttons are giving wrong command and some not working at all.

I.e when I press down on d pad it enters a 3, pressing up enters a 9. Left doesn't work, number 6 key brings up the on screen keyboard etc.

Hoping the remote has just gone faulty, have got a new one on order. Just wondering if it could be anything else?

Trying to set up mobile phone for remote, but cant get into the setting to turn it on. Think I have reset my box to factory default by holding down the button on back of Mag box, and remote not working properly on the inner portal. So know it isn't an issue with the sub/provider
 
go to settings and check the remote setting threes 2 options if i remember correctly
 
goto settings
interface
scroll down until you see RC Model
on mine it says SRC-4513 (Slim)

try that
