Renault Megane - Key card problem

Hi,

Was wondering of anyone could advise on the problem I'm having with my key card please.

I simply wont accept it anymore, display just reads "please insert card". I have used a trick I found on the Internet using a knife but even that isn't working anymore.

Is this a soldering issue with the key or something more serious? Car is 10 years old

hello m8 had this problem with sons car you are right there are 5 or 6 points to resolder there is a youtube video and it's not as hard as it looks was going to cost £275.00 cost was pence i will say when you open the key card if you go real careful it may only be the two terminals one to the battery one to the little board these are easy to do the other bit tricky hope all goes well TzarAcK
