Hi got some help regarding my epg problem,hav been told to re initilse and do swap file,very new and dont no how to do this ,instruction if anybody is kind enough to post would be brilliant,hav had a quick look on site but cant find what i need,i hav virmin with a zgemma star h1,help please epg is driving me nuts with all the wrong info

Try this Box off.
Usb in rear.
Box on. Within 1 minute do:
Menu
Setup
System
Storage devices
Initialisation
Select ur drive
Red to initialise
Exit all

Menu
Setup
Vix
Swapfile manager
Blue to create 256mb. Wait
Yellow to autostart
Green to start
Red to close.
Hold power button on remote for 3 secs and select Restart (never GUI)
 
Cheers,bud sorry for being a pest,i already hav 250gb hard drive connected in rear,do i disconnect that,and use a pen drive if so can i put my hard drive back in,once finished,sorry again bud
 
Sorry mate was helping with a line you can just initialise and put it al on your 250gb drive including epg format to NTFS
 
No probs,thats what happens when your the man,appreciate the help will follow steps above and c how i get on,thanks again
 
Went through process above exactly as i structed bud everything went ok,but epg still goosed almost 30% of listings are wrong they all say epic adventure of brot,gods knows whats wrong,any ideas have had box for 6 months never had problem with epg
 
You need swap file for media portals and films when streaming as this is where buffering goes and with cachflush installed via plugins with a reboot clears it out

Dont no if this helps but a tried to update rytec providers and i get a message cannot retrieve tytec sources

,have learned loads today thank you very much,as i said before am new to this so will do some more research on re flashing etc,will probably be asking more questions over next couple of days before i attempt,thanks again for your time,respect
 
Any time to reflash just download the back up in the blue writing unzip folder using a program like Winzip/winrar Format usb to fat 32 Extract zgemma folder to usb ,Place usb in back of box, press power button on box after few secs box should say flash When finished flashing follow instructions If you look on page 9 of the vix hades there is idiots guide for adding your line
