In remote part of country with limited aerial signal eg little channels, so have installed dish with a basic humax sat box,
What box and what type service would best suit for sports vod and live t.v with record, record not the most important, budget for box £100, service £££ ?

There's euro sat available or you can go down the iptv route and get Alot of premium channels

If you are remote what type of internet do you have? Do you have high speed etc or good mobile broadband.

My mobile can give me over 10 mbps I think that’s more than enough for iptv

Should just about be ok HD viewing wise , if not some providers provide SD channels .

Octagon SF8008 4k twin mate

Yes can recommend Octagon SF8008 4K Twin as well for 2 Sat inputs/WLAN or LAN and IPTV.
Have this same set up on two Octagons SF8008, one Downstairs, one Upstairs.
Also running the Amiko Viper 4K which serves me well.
The Octagons are stable with openATV6.4 and openPLI 8
The Amiko Viper 4K runs on openATV 6.4
Look around for good deals, all running VPN as well.
