Scanning virgin no channels

Hi I've I'm trying to set up a virgin connection on the vu+ solo se v2, got to the part autobouquetsmaker finish that and scan, it says reading virgin .services. 387 videos 37 radio say done but no channels come on, shouldn't i still get fta channales still if i haven't set my line up yet?

have you made the change where you have replaced SD channels with HD where possible?

bbc one HD bbc 2 HD aren't FTA
you have to look for bbc one sd etc.

a lot of people make that mistake that "bbc one hd" isn't working and assume that they aren't recieving fta channels.

Also make suree your netID matches the tuner config :)

Ok will look thanks, but at moment it runs scan comes up with them service numbers than jumps back to menu with no list of anything.

Just turned box on and channel 1to5 are working now may just had to wait a whil for it to update, is that normal with just them channels to i get my line activated.thanks

That is normal your next step is to add an active line they you will be sorted....

Yeah until you get a line on there that's all that will work

I'd say the slyk skin. Though I don't know if I'm allowed to post the link and I don't know if people would be happy with it being posted on here now, so just stick it into google.

I like ViXBMC_BELLO_1080-skin- on my vu.
If you want the sly look slyk skin available from google.
Or chabs has skynew, skyq and a vm skin available on here.

Just setting up to put line in, i put details in, come out select softcam 1.38 and get a msg say no config file found please setup mgcamd fist. Any idea why cheers

youll need to drop the latest mgcam_cfg files into keys as well as the newcamd.list file with the line then save and restart mgcam

which you can get here mgcamd1.38 & cccam2.3 & all files

Ok i got it all working with all channels, ive got a 16gb usb flash drive for epg, and a 1tb external hardrive, some how the box crashed, and now says on openvix screen say please wait, does this need flashing again or does it not like the 16gb stick for epg

Just done a new flash starting over again, and this time put epg on main external hardrive, seems ok now, i think my usb may of kept corrupting it, is epg ok running of a external hard drive
