scrambled but everything seems ok

just came home from work and my dad said his box wasnt working... the channels are scrambled..... it says the server is online....the tick is enabled.... the apps are working .... ive rebooted the box and the router.. disconnected all the wires and its still not working...

ii have a different line with the same provider in another room and thats working fine...

we contacted the supply guy and he just said it was renewed yesterday, and that was it....

ive changed the dchp setting and still no difference....


does anyone have any other suggestions that we could try???????
 
it just extends from the servers end..... so no new details to enter.... ive asked him to give a total new username and stuff to see if that works... quite late now though so hope for a reply in the morning...... normally everything runs smoothly so im really not sure what has gone wrong this time....
 
strange he says (renewed) seems a reseller to me and not a real server


i was thinking that before but as untill now everythings been fine i didnt really mind.... im still waiting for him to answer my request for a new line to see if that fixes the problem.... theres nothing else i can think of :(
 
I have the same experience on my 2 skybox V5S's from this morning.
I have attempted to contact my vendor but they have conveniently gone with the wind.

Can someone direct me to a tutorial that can help me diagnose / fix this issue.

You could try the working line from your box in your Dad's box. You would know for certain then if it's the line or the box.

Make sure that your box isn't on at the same time as your Dad's box if you try this, as the server would see this as 2 connections.
 
a new line is working fine in there so its deffinatly the server end... hes just lost himself a customer..... im stuck with him for another 3 months but i expect my box to go off in the next few days too......
