hope someone on here can help me out on this before i do the ultimate sacrifice and actually pay for a tv service
bought a zgemma cable sat tuner before xmas last yaer
setup cable correctly and line in - spot on
then the fun began
started to lose sly sp 1 hd to glitching problems but put up with it anyway
so upto present and even a lot of fta channels glitching to to loss of signal quality 98 drop to 72 every 4-5 secs
ive had an engineer look at it (not vm) at my cost and we renewed cables - connectors and splitters - even had a direct cable feed form outside to the box - about 10ft away
it is still glitching which led me to believe the tuner may have been on its way out
so i tried my mates box which is working perfect on his cable set up at his house
and his box glitches also on my setup so by reason it has to be the feed - that i know for definite now
so my question is
if i am on broadband only - ie no tv package is there a reason i should getter a weaker signal to the house than a one with a tv package?
i seem to recall a few years ago on eurovox that i had a similar problem to this
i did upgrade to a tv packaage to make sure i was getting the strongest signal for the box and weather this was the right way to go about it it did strangely improve the signal quality
do vm somehow lessen the signal quality to broadband only customers?
as things stand the only way i can see a solution to this would be to upgrade to a basic tv package and see what thats like
wht do you think??/
thnx
