setting up a vpn on either samsung smart tv or vm tivo box??

hi im looking to install a vpn to either my VM router or Samsung smart tv, , is this the correct section to be asking this question and if so can any one help please?

As far as I am aware It’s not possible to set up vpn on Virgin router or Samsung tv.
Most put their Virgin router into modem mode and buy there own router to put a vpn on.

Thank you mate that’s what I was understanding with what I read but was so many different posts I lost the plot lol
