What's new

Sky and 3 new routers

Nope hit and miss with vpns I believe aswell. They won't let you turn off their security settings in router.
Possible solution is use your own

Anyone who has decent 5g coverage, ditch vm, sly, etc. Buy a 5g sim router and unlimited sim. I'm with id mobile and pay £18 per month. Bought a 2nd hand 5g sim router for £100. It is litterally plug n play. Saving myself over £20 per month now. Works a treat!

No wired connection ? Can't be as stable surely ?

Wireless other than plugging it in. Noticed no difference in stability, compared to vm. Been using it now since December. No issues
Yeah when having problems with BT that worked for me. Probably best to get a router and change to Google dns

I lived with 3 5g for about 10 months and then went back to virgin. I also bought my own 5g router of ebay and it ended up getting black listed so they replaced it and it was never stable. I had line of site of the mast and about 600-700mb connection. It's the odd drop outs you have to get used to such as watching iptv and at a bit of buffering, or making a video call and it lagging. It might be ok for low usage but when you need a guaranteed feed i found it just too unreliable.

You can use your own router with virgin. I use a mesh and brother had been using his own router or years.

Sorry mate i don't know if i did not make it clear, it was the 3 5g set up that caused me the issues. I have the hub 5 from virgin and it works perfectly well all through the house. Much better than when we had the hub 3.
