Sky Broad Band and Cams.

This probably is silly question to ask.

Does it matter which Broadband Provider, one uses to plug into boxes with Cam?

Can one use Sky Broadband?

Are they able to monitor?

I think Sky use the BT Open Reach Platform, like all providers.
So I would think its impossible to monitor.

No problem with the monitoring but needs to be quite stable, sky broadband is absolute crap though. Have you done a speed and ping test on your connection?

Currently on there regular Broadband package, was looking to either move onto there Fibre deals or looking at Plusnet Fibre.

Speed is around 11 meg.

On Fibre, should be 60-70 meg.

Im leaning towards Plusnet.

Iv heard good things on plusnet, so hopefully it should be stable enough.

If thats a genuine 11 meg it should be more than enough, i struggle to get 3 meg with them on an advertised 8 meg connection.

you dont need fast broadband just a consistant speed. using sky broadband may be not a good idea.

Talking broadband, who do you guys use? I'm tempted with Talktalk now they dont trottle.

Any internet that comes down the telephone line (bt original line) is BT.. sky is BT internet sky telephone is BT telephone
