Hi everyone I was asked a question about iptv from a costumer of mine is it possible to get iptv service with sky sports pub glass on the screen I said that I don't know for sure any idea please

I would imagine no as its a paid service to sky and not sharable and why it has a watermark and safety features built in.

it would come from a direct feed from a device with a business sub and i have never seen it done.

even so it would purely be aesthetical , all commercial premises i know have a window sticker with a barcode containing their subscription details which can be scannned by those who need to to validate a current sub.

i cant think of any point of having the pint glass on the screen if you dont have a sub for the premises to back it up.

Not possible and not worth the risk to run it public bars.
The rats that work for sly have teams that walk into bars and check. I am aware of two bars in my area that got caught, it was in C/S days.
Was £3K fine for one of them with court fees.

On this subject..... is anyone aware of legal stance on public bars when amazon had rights to broadcast?

I do know public broadcasting fee for “sly” and “BT” and must be separate to each channel holder.
But unsure of amazons direction on this?

Amazon Prime Video is to make its Premier League football games available in pubs through a partnership with BT Sport.

Amazon has a package of 20 Premier League games a year, which it will start airing in December.

However, it has no linear broadcast channel to show matches and has no relationship with pubs.

According to a report in The Telegraph, the “Amazon Premier League Pass” will be marketed by BT Sport and pubs and clubs will use existing set-top equipment to access it.

The partnership suggests a level of cooperation between the two smaller stake rights holder against Sky Sports, which still dominates live coverage in the UK.

The Telegraph said the fee for an Amazon Premier League Pass is expected to be between £100 to £600 depending on the size of the licensed premises.

Pubs and clubs spent between £10,000 and £30,000 per year depending on their size for the rights to broadcast live Premier League football in the UK in the previous three-year rights cycle when Sky Sports and BT Sport divided the live games between them.

For the next three seasons, starting next month, Sky has the rights to 128 games and BT Sport a further 52 while Amazon Prime has 20.

it was just a google, i'll ask the gaffer of our club what theyre paying.

to be honest i'd imagine a lot of independant pubs won't be going down that route and will be using prime subs on fire / android till the first court cases start popping up.

I remember back in the day when my local had a pint glass painted on the TV :ROFLMAO:
Currently, one pub I sometimes visit has a disclaimer up that strictly prohibits anyone from sky etc entering their premises and it states something along the lines that they will be committing criminal trespass if they enter.
No idea how legal that would be if it came to it tho.

there used to be a firm of solicitors that specialised in cases bought against pubs and that would probably be the general bumf they spilled out. you could pay pthem yearly on retainer. no idea how successful they were.

It could be done in the old card sharing days. However, the licencees still got caught because sly knew they were not paying for the service.

He will have to be careful the fines are massive. You can get away with ppv but football is dodgy because sky send out there inspectors between 3 and 7
