Sly Q mini

If you have sly q, is it possible to hook up a mini box purchased from a marketplace rather than goin direct to sly?

Sky q use a special lnb to use with their services and any other box would need a hybrid lnb to work with both.
Getting another provider box from market place i would imagine it will be locked and would need sky to set it up for a fee.

Yes deffinetly works had sky 2TB with multi room sub( you need multi room) bought 3 min boxes from FB market place all work fine

So would imagine if he has only 1 box he does not have multiroom,and if he added multi room package is it easy to setup other boxes and is it wifi only?

Hi yeh deffinetly needs multi room.or wont work...set up is easy just do a force download on each mini, one at a time, it will automatically search for and find main sky q box. They are also wireless so work through wifi as well as booster, so in effect boosting wifi signal around your house.
