You are doing a manual or automatic scan. , press cancel.
Follow the post above to scan in autobouquetmaker menu, update provider files first, takes 2-3 mins

You've got it set to scan Virgin IE?
You said earlier you are in england
You need to set it to virgin UK in autobouquetmaker /providers

Not working on vm lines for now, but it goes missing regularly so I suppose there's a chance it may return
It clears on sat lines but often goes down for a few days here and there

Sky Sports Football still working for me but noticed the EPG went from having the details to saying “close”. Is it the end for this channel too? This is in Glasgow area

it's always said "Close" for me. never had EPG data since when we lost all the other SS HD channels, i'm in glasgow area too

Epg will vary on what you're using for epg. Epg importer will probably show the games if absorbing data from signal feeds it will show closed.
