Smarters with VLC player

I put a post out a few days ago with regard to the sync on smarters with VLC!! I have appreciated the all the help I received, at the time of the post sync was a problem with VLC and Built in player!!
After the settings tweak (hardware and m3u8 ) the built in player works perfectly in sync, but picture quality not quite as smooth as VLC!! The VLC sync is better but not perfect!!
On VLC the small picture in the corner when you open the smarters app is perfectly in sync but when go to full picture it is out of sync and there is a little pause before full picture appears !! enough pause to cause sync issue? The version I have is 3 . 1 .4 I believe is latest, is there room for improvement? or should I stick with built in!!

Every one, I may stick with internal player with the settings you gave me on the earlier post!!

I've only started messing with smarters more an stb emu person.. haven't noticed the delay your talking about but has this only started or always been an issue with your setup?

Just a case of trying to find a happy medium with the player settings. Alternatively bin the smarters app

I have been thinking of changing it!! I have two subs on Smarters both on separate firesticks!!
These are really only back ups to main sub on H7s!! The one set up with my main one works perfectly on VLC, the one set up in bedroom will only work perfectly with internal player, so in reality I have both working!! My expectations are perhaps a bit high!! But I have got this level only with the help here!!

I think I have that installed on stick but doesn't show up in options in Smarters settings!!

Yes the reason I probably stuck with Smarters is I set up the son in laws distant by phone!! and it seemed the easiest app to do that!! his tech savvy is low!!

You go to external players on smarters mate there's xciptv player aswell I have a 2pac xciptv player if want to try it just an idea have you changed stream format from ts to hls m3u8

Yes it didn't make too much difference from auto to m3u8 my other player I have is MV so that one might not show !! I will download MX!!

I just couldn't get on with smarters switched to xciptv and no problems at all now, they are like night and day for me.
