i have set up my sv7 at home with no probs but my parents asked to do the same for them but i have hit a snag. when i change channel on the bottom of the screen it says not connected i have connected vai a ethernet cable to the router but it's not showing connected.tried different cable no joy,it shows on the router it's connected to the port,connected direct to modem,swithed the lot off and re booted.none of these are working any ideas because i have run out cheers
 
hi steve ya i've updated using the carling software .i'm just puzzled the only thing i can think of is that the sv7 may be faulty i shall have to swap the boxes over with my one.if that works the only other thing is the router.a lot of head scratching ta steve.any body got an idea

oh i steve i'am receiving the basic freeview channels

You missed out switch on emulator. Go to accessory, highlight, key in 8989 emu will now appear on the right hand side.
Hope you don't mind this addition.
 
cheers guys for your support i think i sust it. my server company are sending out a engineer tomorrow to increase the power to my modem this should work it's the only thing leftto try .fingers crossed i hope it works i'll ,post results
 
all evidance hidden. no joy with server ? i've taken the box to my house pluged it in and perfect (just swaped over the leads and all chanels recived even $)I've given up.plugged the box into my sons bedroom and way hay thats 2 working in the same house my parents have got me puzzled.we even changed the modem and bosted the main external control box so the engineer said, we thing he's full of it."fed up"

When you went in to your dads did you try factory reset , then start from the beggining.
You don't need to put the UPS file on again to do this.
 
ya tried everything .basically i'm a old hand on these boxes but this one little snag is triping me up big time.i've told my parents they have 2 options firstly pay through the nose for the tv service or move in with me ha ha. they're internet has gone tempramental thats why we called out a engineer, but it was saturday morning wales were about to rugby my old man thought this guy was full of shit its just a felling he had.we are going to review the service this coming week and see what happens.
