starview 6 lan, help needed .....please

ok thanks for taking the time to read my request for help. i have just purchased the starview 6 and connected the box direct to my modem, i have installed the latest firmware

in network i have chaned the net application to ustream

then i go to ip set up and change the settings to auto and then apply.

should my ip address, subnet mask, gateway,dns, all have numbers as they all read 0.0.0.0 even trhough it is set to auto?

anyway i then go to installations, auto search and search channels on 6875 and 6887 and i dont get anything , not one channel.

i have resored to factory settings twice, used two different erthnet cables, used firmware from 3 different sources, and still nothing

any help would really be appreciated.
 
you should try and see if all cable is connected properly. cable feed not just internet connection but the actuall vergin cable feed and ethernet cable etc.. after connecting it properly if you are still not getting any number in ip section then switch off moden wait about 20 seconds and try again. if the cable feed is connected properly you should atleast get the bbc, itv etc.... i am still watchins sv6 fine so it does work. just keep trying and good luck.
 
Menu - Option -networks - net application - select type “Ustream(UK) or Istream(Ireland) - ok)

Then go to to your channels by exiting the menu and pressing ok..Select a non FTA channel and leave it until a picture appears PLEASE NOTE IT CAN TAKE UPTO 5 MINUTES TO UPDATE SO BE PATIENT

If you have 16:9 TV please follow up “ Option -> OSD Setup -> Screen Format
