streaming via desktop to ps3

Hi all, anyone got any advice on the best program to use for streaming from my hardrive on a desktop to my ps3. I have a router etc and have so far only tried media player (please forgive me) I was just trialling.

Media player was surprisingly ok but not perfect and yes I do have a decent cable broadband connection👍

Windows Media Player typically does a good job.

TVersity is another.

A lesser known one would be Playon...but that one's not free.

I found with media player it was stopping and then restarting. I'm hoping this is the software and not my broadband connection which is why I was looking for others

I would try TVersity as well. Although stopping and restarting could indeed be a connection issue.

I use PS3 Media Server. The one thing you didn't mention was whether your had your PS3 plugged in via cable or wireless to your router. If wireless, even with an N series router, you will have to back the quality off inorder for it to keep up when streaming.
