Sudden death of a V8S

There I was, minding my own business, watching the cricket when suddenly and without warning my V8S died. Tried doing an "Engineering reset" but no joy. There are no lights lit on the front display, the ethernet lights don't flash at all and, obviously, there is nothing showing on the screen. The appearance it is giving is of an ex-V8S. The 12v supply is definitely working, but that's all that is.

Anyone any ideas on whether the box can be resurrected in a Lazarus like manner or has the V8S become dustbin fodder?

I'm not an expert, but it sounds like it's a gonner!!!

You could try bashing it about for a while. Wack it on the top a few times, wiggle the PSU lead and see if that makes any difference.
