yep,
opens up a lot more than I was expecting,
my dilemma now is,
do I go motorised on my 1m dish,
or leave it multisat and see if I can get 23 and 16 on it,? as well as 13 19 and 28,
and tbh, thats what Im seriously thinking right now,

I tried connecting a motorised dish to one of these and it just didn't work. It just didn't seem to have enough power to control the motor.
The setup worked perfectly with an OpenBox.

In the end I fixed it and got a box from Poland for 1 Zloty

1 of what,?
I have an edision mini and an F5
But I'm probably going to go with fixed 1m and multi LNB for now

Box turned up yesterday, @steptoe - going to flash it this evening and get going. The OpenATV link from the official Zgemma site appears to be to nightly builds. Should I be worried about using one of those? Or should I just go for Whooshbuild (which is based on OpenATV, I think?) and then change the skin so it's not the Sky one?

Kind regards,

The builds on zgemma.tv are fine to use - you can use either but I think WB has more content already on the box.

Thanks for that. I've flashed it to the latest nightly build of OpenATV and now it's rebooted. Done the basic simple set-up, so it's found that I'm connected to Hotbird. Just wondering what to do next...

Have you scanned any channels yet,?

No. I'm slightly confused by the difference between a bouquet and scanning for channels. Are they the same thing?

Apologies. I've looked for a guide and am watching various YouTube vids at present, but they seem to be focusing on getting a Sky interface working - which is something I'm not remotely bothered about.

Just download “auto bouquets” in extensions then pick 13.0 for the bouquets and then set provided to NC/Polsat this will give you all the NC plus and Polsat channels.

A full scan on 13.0 will bring in a mountain of stuff you probably don’t want/need

Thanks for the advice. I want to follow it (!), but the only auto bouquets that appears to be downloadable is Auto Bouquets E2, which is focused on 28.2e...

Not there is another version it’s either “auto bouquets” or “auto bouquet maker” ABM I’ll check in a few minutes

Yes the e2 just for 28.2 but other version for all

Ah. I have autobouquets maker as a plugin. When I try to configure it though, under providers, NC+ is listed but Polsat isn't...

It appear under “system plugins” it’s “auto bouquets maker” if it’s not there chances are it’s pre installed already. Then just go to “menu “ - setup - tuner config - auto bouquets maker.

Then in options you will see NC plus etc...

That's it, just select NC
Then configure providers order
Exit
Then do a blind scan,
It will find the polsat channels and put them in the all channels list, you can then move them to a different bouquet.

Thanks again for the advice. I've found the nc+ channels but they're not working. Any reason why my (valid) nc+ card wouldn't work in a zgemma when it does work in an Openbox V8S? Is there are CAS setting that I'm missing somewhere?

ask in here for a test line, make sure you state a EUROLINE to open Polsat and NC+ on 13e

I have access to that type of thing. And it works. But I also have a prepaid card from an nc+ box that, frankly, I'd rather use until it expires. Just wondering why the card reader would work in an Openbox but not in the Zgemma. Is there a plugin or extension I need to download/activate for that card slot?

Still struggling to get something approaching a channel list. What I want, I guess, is to just have the 100-odd Polish channels on my Zgemma. Nothing else. No Sky Italia. No porn. No German. No German porn (!). Just basically nc+ and Polsat, with channel numbers allocated by me. Is that possible? I know there's a web interface that could help make it easier?

Thanks, as always, for your advice on this thread. Much appreciated.
