So, i have shurfshark on my firestick and enigma2 box purely for iptv...

I have a virgin 400 business vroom

Enigma box speed test gives me 15mb download.. and 18 upload....

Is there any vpn that doesnt gobble up 385mb of data?

I'd say reboot the router, off for four minutes, and also reboot the box.
Then try another speed test.

Losing that much speed cannot be right

Along with the steps provided by @pabloescaban I recommend trying to change VPN server location through surfshark if possible. Potential bottleneck in the VPN infrastructure somewhere.

If you're looking for VPN recommendations, or ideas of how providers compare when it comes to speedloss, here are some results for Mulvad

LocationDownload (Mbps)Upload (Mbps)
Home - UK 478.2569.48
VPN - UK 414.9872.70
VPN - NL 288.9956.90

I running surfshark also mate
No probs at all really. On 200meg bb.
Get 200 Meg on ground floor we're router is based. And furthest location about 120 meg, so loose 50 to 80meg there.... Paul

on openatv 7.xx menu / setup / system / network / device settings / nameserver settings
or if openatv6.4 you need to add in network adapter settings you need to stop vpn while changing name servers
