sw not working

Hello Im having problems with my sw download option,Ive tried a few times and even left it on this morning for 5 hours but it doesnt seem to be working I know other people have had this problem too by searching on here , all its saying is searching for update.Ive tried a couple of different ways for instance bypass the router different lead but still no luck,fed up now please help.
