Anyone been able to setup telegram without using your mobile number? Tried various methods but no joy so far.

You need a mobile number to setup telegram. That's how it connects your app/device. Maybe use a pay&go sim?

Yes. Trouble is most PAYG Sims now need a £10 top up to activate number. I don't need some/number just the extra Telegram account.

Nope, Asda mobile have 50p credit on them, but I'm pretty sure that you can receive a text or a call on any SIM with zero credit. The number is on the card

Should be all same. Normally once you put sim in phone it should be activated.
