i have the box pvr with version 4.506 with no channels what so ever, will liike some help with getting these channels back, preferably the new channel frequencys or any other method to sort the box out

its more than likely you have now gone N3, are you in Liverpool by any chance, they have just gone to N3, there is no fix for your box and many others. its a new type of box you need, a kryptview a780 or a starview 6, and you need an internet connection for it, they cardshare.
 
i live in northamptonshire, it says nagrigation I, II so i think im not lol any ideas,

they are working, ntl are just changing the frequnecies so that the channels come up scrambled, if some one has the new frequencies that ntl are providing now that would be great
 
factory reset and auto scan always finds the new channels but as said if on n3 as 90% of uk is on may not work.time to start reading a few posts.
 
i have tried factory reset and scanned for channels but only get tv channels, but then after a while i get scrambled or bad channel, so does that mean im nag 3 then?

Most likely a case of a move-in-progress to Nagra 3. Under normal circumstances, over the past year or so a factory default reset and a power scan will bring back the channels. But since its moved to a new encryption, it isnt capable of doing so any longer. The channels that you can still watch are well on their way to moving to the new encryption. Its only a matter of time before your box will no longer decode the 10% of remaining channels that you still have left.
 
did you get a picture then it goes to scrambled as that sounds like a bad signal or splitters?,when on nagra 3 asian and sports are first to go followed by more in a matter of weeks,you should be able to scan in all tv and radio channels but viewing them not on n3.
