I've been out of it for a few years. My enigma 1 Technomate box went faulty and I never bothered to fix it. Found this forum again and saw what a party you guys have been having with a scene that was quite underground before - but now with an abundance of paid server operators and some great new boxes eg ZGemma,VU+ etc. All that was around in old days was Dreambox with small CS rings. Although stuff was open on keys then:) Just when I fixed the box a few months ago I discovered what was going on with the new encryption that gets around CS.

Anyhow I really was going to update the sat box for an HD or 4K model but with the death of UK CS, and no solution looking to be possible, what should anyone looking to buy a new box buy?

Is Satellite still an option? Is 19.2 Sly open on CS or 13E? The digi package is quite good on 1W. (I have a motorised dish) Any others I don't know about that are still possible?, what about Digital + Tequilla etc?

Or forget Sat completely and just get an IPTV box? I already have Kodi on a PC, is that good enough. Can anyone help me cut through this confusion>?

All the Polish stuff Polsat or NC plus pack majority of channels can be switched to English apart from sports. But full live PL games sat 3pm included

Well thats not bad then. I still miss Sly Italia Prima Fila!! Not having an HD box I don't see the channel in the list so forget about them. What about a VU+ 4K, you have to use Oscam.. any issues?

Conax
Mediaguard 3
Nagravision 3
Viaccess 3.0
Viaccess 5.0

Comedy central. One thing I always wondered was if a channel is using all those does that mean any one of those will clear it eg conax or is it using multi encryption if such a thing exists? Back in the day conax you could clear with keys even after Nag 3 had started, is this still the case? And there were Biss keys too...

Yeah I wouldn't mind as a side project think I'll need a 80cm in Ireland

I'd reccomend anyone to use an 80cm dish, it was only as mine us directly above patio doors I wanted to keep it fairly small.
And, as I found out, you cannot get 23 between 19 and 28 on a 65cm dish.
I have real good signal on all 3 tho, 13 19 28 , >80% signal minimum, and >70% quality minimum ,
I'll do a post on setting it up

I was going to try a concrete floor mount in Ireland I have holiday cottage out in the sticks no neighbours to complain or mount it on an old water tank. Figure its easier than being up a ladder. I'm not sure how dishes cope with the crazy winds there, has anyone ever put up a 1.1m at home?
