Timeshift / recording help

Would anyone happen to know why when I press rewind on the remote for the timeshift it seems to be recording about 30 minutes of what channel I've been watching meaning I can rewind up to 30 mins?

I don't want to do this as it is taking up space on my USB and I think 5 mins would be enough.

Does anyone know how I could change this?

Go to Timeshift settings,
There's an option to disable it

Thanks but not wanting to disable it just wanting to reduce the time so that it doesn't record as much

Time shift settings> timeshift buffer change from 12 to 1 hour.

These are my settings, I have mine disabled, it's easy enough to switch on if your going to use it (maybe for a football match)

what are you using openvix?
I'm not sure on the settings on openvix it's been awhile since I used it.
